"How much does it cost to get rid of termites in Bali?" is a fair question with an annoying answer: it depends. But "it depends" isn't good enough when you're trying to budget, so in this article I'll give you the real guide ranges we work to, explain what drives the price up or down, and show why the cheapest option on paper is often the most expensive in the end.

The guide prices

ServiceGuide Price (IDR)Notes
Termite inspection350,000โ€“550,000Written photo report included
Liquid soil barrier (per m perimeter)35,000โ€“55,000Standard villa perimeter
Direct injection treatment400,000โ€“900,000Per infestation point
Bait station installation (per station)150,000โ€“250,000Includes first bait charge
Annual bait monitoring600,000โ€“1,200,000/yearPer property, two visits
Pre-construction soil treatment2,000,000โ€“5,000,000Depends on footprint

These are the same ranges on our pricing page. Every job gets a firm WhatsApp quote before any work starts โ€” there are no call-out fees and no surprises.

What actually drives the price

Four things move the number. The size of the property โ€” a liquid barrier is priced per metre of perimeter, so a sprawling villa costs more than a compact townhouse. The severity and spread โ€” one localised infestation is a couple of injection points; termites through multiple rooms and the roof is a bigger job. The species โ€” subterranean colonies are treated with barriers or bait, while a heavy drywood infestation through a whole structure may need fumigation, which is a different cost bracket entirely. And access โ€” easy subfloor and roof access keeps labour down; tight, paved or built-over sites take longer.

Why the cheapest quote is rarely the cheapest outcome

The most expensive thing you can do is pay for a treatment that doesn't work. We're regularly called to villas โ€” especially in Seminyak and Ubud โ€” where an owner has paid two or three times for a quick perimeter spray that never touched the actual colony. Each spray felt cheap; together they cost more than doing it right once, and the termites kept eating the whole time. That's why we insist on a proper inspection first: identifying the species and the entry route is what makes the treatment money well spent instead of money wasted.

The cheapest protection of all

If you're building, the single best-value decision is pre-construction soil treatment. At IDR 2โ€“5 million it's a fraction of what post-construction remediation of a serious infestation costs โ€” routinely IDR 30โ€“100 million once you factor in replacing structural timber, lifting finishes and repeat treatments. Spending a little before the slab is poured is the closest thing to a guarantee against termites that exists in Bali's climate.

How to get an accurate price

The fastest route to a real number is a quick WhatsApp message with three things: your area, the approximate age and size of the building, and a photo of anything suspicious. From that we can usually give a tight estimate, and a firm quote after inspection. Message us and we'll tell you honestly what your situation needs โ€” and what it doesn't.
