Anti-termite soil treatment along a villa foundation in Bali

Pre-construction treatment is the most cost-effective termite protection investment possible. Applied to the soil before concrete is poured, it creates a termiticide barrier at the building's foundation level — where termite access to the structure begins. This barrier cannot be installed after construction without major disruption. Cost of pre-treatment: IDR 2–5 million depending on building footprint. Cost of post-construction structural remediation for a severe termite infestation: IDR 30–100 million. The maths are clear.

How Pre-Construction Treatment Works

Soil treatment is applied in stages during construction: after excavation and before backfill, under the slab before pouring, and to the perimeter soil after slab completion. The combined barrier covers all entry points at the foundation level where subterranean termites would otherwise access the timber framing above.

Products used: bifenthrin or imidacloprid termiticides approved for soil application in Indonesia. Application rates and coverage documented for warranty purposes.

Treatment should be coordinated with the building contractor to ensure correct timing — we work alongside construction teams and provide a treatment certificate on completion.
